Best Survey Sites to make Money(Very Hot!!!!)

Over the last few years I’ve gotten nearly 100 emails asking me what I thought of legitimate survey sites and why I’ve never listed any here.

Well, the truth is…. it’s just not my favorite way to earn extra money.

Personally, I get really bored filling out online forms and I often find with survey companies, I’m only making $7-8/hour.

But, it’s easy. If you’re interested in getting paid to take surveys at home, I’ve finally put together a list of our favorites. 

It can be a little time consuming, but my recommendation is to signup for all the survey sites on this list at once. And that’s because each site is probably only going to be able to match you up with one or two paid surveys a month.

So, if you want to make any real money — you need to be a member of a LOT of panels.

I do this kind of work while I’m watching TV and if I’m able to complete all the surveys sent to me, I’m usually able to earn $250+/month.

Without further ado, here are the best survey sites.

1. 1. VIP Voice

   This is a pretty popular site with readers that like the gamification behind taking paid surveys. VIP Voice gives you points after every survey, which are good for gift cards, free vacations and electronics.
   After you join VIP Voice and take a few surveys, look out for a special survey that offers a $25 reward. (Sit tight. You might have to take several surveys before you see this one.)

2. 2. Harris Poll

   

   This is another favorite because it’s run by the Nielsen company (so you know it’s legitimate).

   It’s also famous for contacting survey panelists for local focus groups in its area.

3. 3. Inbox Dollars

   
   I’ve written about Inbox Dollars before because I’ve made some easy money signing up for trial offers on their site. But, they also offer several short, daily surveys that you can take.
   If you take all four each day, you could earn an extra $730/year. Not too bad.

4. 4. Point Club

   
   Point Club is awesome because you’ll get points for every single survey you take — guaranteed. Plus, the company gives you $5 just for signing up!
   Once you accrue enough of them, those points are redeemable for gift cards to a ton of useful vendors like Walmart, Amazon and PayPal. Heck, you can even cash them out for charity. Sign up for Point Club here.

5. 5. eMiles

   

   If you love to travel or have been craving a weekend getaway, you might want to join this survey site of more than 3 million members.
   It’s called eMiles, and you get rewarded in points for hotels and flights for doing simple tasks — taking surveys, watching ads and claiming deals. The site claims to save consumers $20 to $30 on their next trip just by spending an hour on the site.
   You can redeem these points for flights with major airlines like American Airlines, United or Southwest. If you’re not much of a traveler, you can also use them at Amazon or Starbucks.
   Signing up takes approximately 10 seconds. You’ll just need your email address and to be a U.S. resident. Plus, for a limited time, you can snag bonus points, too.

6. 6. Ipsos Panel

   
   You might recognize the Ipsos Panel name because it’s the same company that does most of the political polling during elections.
   I’ve heard some of the top-end surveys can pay up to $95, but those are rare and can take a bit to complete. Most surveys pay a buck or two and only take 10 to 15 minutes.
   Also, Ipsos rewards you with points which can then be redeemed for Paypal or gift cards to Amazon, iTunes, etc. (For example, 1000 points can be redeemed for a $10 Paypal card).

7. 7. Pinecone Research

   They have a good amount of surveys, but what’s unique about this company is that you get paid cash after every survey you take. And there’s no minimum to cash-out (pays via Paypal).

List of Medical Transcription Companies that hire Remotely

There are more than 30 companies that will hire you for your medical transcribing skills. For the purposes of this article, I have included 20 of them. Listed below with a brief transcription, they are:

Absolute Transcription – Founded in 1999, this company will hire you if you have 3 years of experience and can pass their test. You must be able to meet a 24-hour turnaround—no exceptions.

Amphion Transcription – If you have 2 years of inpatient experience, then this might be your gig. You must also pass the 2-hour test as well as meet the equipment and computer requirements.

Eight Crossings – This company prefers to hire medical transcribers with two years of experience, but will hire those without experience who have recently graduated from training programs.

GMR Transcription – Read GMR Transcription Review – This company hires from US and Canada only. If you can pass the grammar and typing tests, you are in without experience.

M Modal – This company will hire those without experience or newly hired AHDI (Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity) certified. Offers both medical and legal transcription and pays by the line.

Net Transcripts – Read Net Transcripts Review – This company now hires medical transcribers to go with their legal and law enforcement transcribers but only in the US. If you can type 80 words a minute and have good grammar, Net Transcripts would love to talk to you. Net Transcripts prefers to hire experienced transcribers, but will accept those who can type 80 wpm and pass a basic test.

Northeast Transcription – This company will hire recent graduates with 6 months experience, whether it was work-at-home or in a clinical setting.

Nuance Transcription – This company will hire those with a minimum of one year experience in an acute-care type of environment. This would include physicals and discharge notes.

NThrive – This company used to be called Precyse, but has changed its name. They require 3 years' experience with knowledge in all areas of medicine.  Thrive does offer training.

Penrad Imaging – If you live in Colorado and are able to do on-site training for 3 to 5 weeks, then this might be for you. They require a minimum of 6 months' experience.

Perfect Transcription – While they do tend to pay better than the others, they require 3 years of experience with 2 of those years being in a specialty (oncology, urology, podiatry, etc.).

Precision Transcription – This one hires both part-time and full-time workers to work from home as independent contractors. All shifts are available and you must have a minimum of 3 years' experience.

Preferred Transcriptions – This company requires 2 years' experience and has 24/7 work. Clients need 8 to 12 hour turnaround times and many dictate from their cell phones.

SameDay Trancriptions – You must apply to start the assessment. This company only hires experienced medical transcribers to produce quick turnaround transcriptions.

Softscript – This transcription company requires 3 years' experience and you must have excellent grammar and computer skills.

SpectraMedi – This company requires experience. They also have openings for medical billing and medical coding.

StenoMed – This company hires experienced medical transcribers only with advanced knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.

StenTel – Once you fill out a questionnaire, you will be contacted to determine if you are a good fit for StenTel. Most of their medical transcription revolves around health insurance claims. They do require experience.

Make money online doing Data Entry Jobs!

Data Entry Jobs From Home

#1 – Cass Information Systems – Data verification and data entry. This position is very location-based. If the position is available, you'll see it listed as “Data Verification Clerk.” You have to train onsite for a few weeks before you can do the job from home. Their BBB rating is A+.

#2 – Great American Opportunities – Read Great American Opportunities Review – Seasonal work that involves inputting scanned magazine order forms. Must take test and go on waiting list if you pass. No website exists advertising this work, but my review (linked above) has some info on when/how to apply once positions are open for their online data entry jobs. Another A+ BBB rated company.

#3 – The Smart Crowd – Read The Smart Crowd Review – Very low pay. Must take a typing test to get hired and pass with good accuracy. Really just good for extra money here and there. This company offers part-time online data entry jobs, as there is typically not enough work to do this full-time.

#4 – Dion Data – Read Dion Data Review – A legit company that has been around for years. Unfortunately I don't think they actively hire that often.

#5 – Red Vision – This company occasionally has work at home data entry jobs posted. Check their “careers” page for openings.

#6 – Smart Locating – Frequently (but not always) advertising data entry work on Craigslist. Usually states you need to be able to meet for face-to-face meeting first. They are based in Texas, so you will likely need to be near one of their locations so you can meet with them. This company appears to have A rating on the BBB.

#7 – Xerox – Read Xerox Review – The job is usually location-based, requiring that you work on site for one week before being allowed to do the job from home. Visit their Careers page and type in “work from home data entry” in the keywords box “transaction processor” to see if this position is available.

#8 – Freelance bidding sites – These almost always have data entry opportunities listed that you can bid on to do.

#9 – Amazon MTurk – Read Amazon Mechanical Turk Review – You can find short tasks here on occasion that involve keying and typing, but you will have to do a search for them.

#10 – Clickworker – Read Clickworker Review – A short task site similar to MTurk (above) with similar tasks.

List of Websites to sell your make-up from Home Free

Any beauty addict with stashes from Sephora and Ulta knows what it’s like to run out of space on their vanity. Half-used jars of tarte and Anastasia Beverly Hills abound in every nook and cranny in the bathroom, and counter space is covered by beauty blenders of all shapes and sizes and contouring brushes abound. It can be tough to get your makeup organized, let alone feel justified in buying new product, even if it’s needed.

Clearing out your makeup clutter can not only be good for your mental health (who doesn’t love a clean, organized space?), but can also benefit your wallet, enabling you to buy some new, acrylic makeup organizers, or – new product to play with.
We’ve compiled the top five websites to sell makeup from home, or trade it in for newer finds. Read on, and stay beautiful.

5 Sites To Sell Makeup From Home

#1 – Glambot

One of Glambot’s taglines is “trade makeup for cash,” and they are not kidding. The skincare and cosmetics online shopping site allows you to sell your new and pre-owned makeup and skincare items that are, of course, not expired with at least 50% of product remaining. Products must also be free of contaminants, like dirt, mold, pet hair, smoke, etc., and lip gloss, nail polishes, and fragrances are not accepted.
Also, Glambot only wants your high-end stuff – no drug store brands, like Revlon, Rimmel, or CoverGirl allowed. Brands like Givenchy, Urban Decay, Kat Von D, and Lime Crime, however, are just a few of the many chic makeup lines Glambot is happy to accept; think more Sephora and less CVS.

How It Works: After reviewing the website’s sell requirements and list of accepted brands, have Glambot email a free shipping label via USPS. Use the free label to ship out your makeup – sell packages are processed between 5 – 7 business days. Make sure you review thepackaging instructions so that you know the makeup arrives safely and intact.
Once your package is received, Glambot will email you an offer within 5 business days for your makeup and/or skincare products being delivered to their facilities. You can either get cash back or 30% more than your cash offer in store credit (called “Glambucks”). Keep in mind that you cannot receive more than 30% in store credit. The website predicts you can earn $15 – $150 on name brand cosmetics in a box (20 – 25 pieces total) or between $25 – $260 on luxury items.
Pro Tip: Keep in mind that there are some critics on makeup forums that state that Glambot buys your product for a low percentage of what you paid and resells it for a much higher one. Additionally, if they reject the product you send (which you have to send product first in order to receive an offer), Glambot will have you pay for return shipping.

#2 – MUABS

“MUABS,” or, “MakeUp Addict Blog Sales marketplace” seems to have a better reputation than Glambot if you want to sell makeup from home. One of the main benefits of MUABS is that it offers PayPal Guarantee protection when you sell your unwanted makeup items – so, there’s no risk.
Another added bonus is that MUABS accepts not just high-end, luxury items – they also accept drugstore favorites for beauty It Girls, like Wet ‘N Wild.
How It Works: Register online for free, after which you’ll be prompted to open up your own store, in which you list your products, their prices, and their condition(s). After your items sell, MUABS keeps only 10% of the profit – you keep the rest! You can receive email alerts when a buyer is interested in your cosmetics item, so you don’t have to constantly check in at your online store throughout the day.
Pro Tip: One downside is that shipping is not exactly free like it is on other websites, like Poshmark. It will cost to ship an item to a buyer, even with the downloaded shipping label in place from PayPal, so remember that when pricing your makeup.

#3 – Poshmark

The go-to app for selling clothes, Poshmark is also used to sell makeup (but only new makeup, used items are not permitted), and they are keen on advertising – whether you’re doing it on social media to potential buyers, or having “Posh Parties” (virtual “buying and selling parties” on the Poshmark app), Poshmark has a solid, well-known brand reputation in the online thrifting world.
How It Works: Download the Poshmark app on your iPhone, Android, or iPad. Upload photos and product descriptions of your items that you want to sell, and “advertise” on Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and Facebook that you’re selling your cosmetics.
Pro Tip: For sales that are less than $15, Poshmark keeps a flat commission of $2.95. For orders over $15, the website keeps 20% of your sale. You can then either keep your money, or spend it at Poshmark on other items.

#4 – Reddit

We will say one thing for reddit – they make no bones about their “buyer beware” policy when it comes to purchasing used makeup off the website. However, some makeup buyers – even those in certain secret online beauty groups with 10,000+ members – swear by it.

How It Works: There are “boards” you can visit, like the one included above, or like Skincareexchange, where you can sell your used makeup and skincare items; additionally, you can also swap makeup items. Reddit encourages users to include links to previous reviews on websites like Amazon to showcase what a great used makeup seller you are.
Pro Tip: Again, you are buying at your own risk! It may be a good idea to follow the rules of the other makeup-buying websites when it comes to reddit – i.e., do not buy mascara, nail polishes, etc. due to possible contamination. Keep in mind, the only guarantee that reddit will provide is that it will ban any user that attempts to scam you, so keep your receipts – and proceed with caution.

#5 – Instagram

Think about where beauty influencers come from: they seemed to have been birthed from the belly of Instagram, the popular photo-sharing app, don’t they? With 700 million monthly active users, Instagram is nothing short of a pop culture phenomenon. Think about all the reach your makeup items could have – with the best tags, of course.
How It Works: Post a few clear photos (you can now use multiple photos in one post on Instagram) with the proper hashtags that will get you the most views. For example, if you’re selling a brow pencil or dip from Anastasia, use hashtags #dipbrow #brows #anastasiabeverlyhills #anastasiabrows, etc. By simply doing a search in the app, you can see which hashtags have generated the most traction.
It’s best to set up an Instagram shop page separate from your personal account. Delete items as soon as they sell, so that your shop is up-to-date.
Pro Tip: Selling on Instagram is best for those who are entrepreneurs at heart, and who love social media. You’ll have to handle all of the shipping and monies yourself, so use a verified platform with buyer protection, like PayPal.
There are, of course, many other options and websites where you can sell your makeup, including Amazon, eBay, Facebook Marketplace, etc.
What sticks out to us as key is to make sure you follow all of the website’s rules for selling used cosmetics, not only for your customers, but also for yourself – you don’t want to sell contaminated makeup and risk not getting paid or making another person sick.
But do it the right way, and you could very well be on your way to having your own makeup empire – or at least freshening up your goods at home.

Work at home transferring data from one source to another. Most of these companies do not require past experience, although with few exceptions the pay may not be enough to consider it a stable income. Before you begin applying to any of the companies below (many of which sadly are almost never hiring), you might want to read the post I wrote about data entry jobs from home. It explains what your expectations should be prior to pursuing a career in this industry.

If you are a fast and accurate typist who doesn't mind repetition, you might excel at data entry.

• Amazon MTurk – Read Amazon Mechanical Turk Review – This is more short task work than an actual work from home job, and may be good for only extra money. Once you are signed in, you can search for “data entry” to see the data entry short tasks that might be posted.
• Cass Information Systems – Data verification and data entry work. This position is location-based. If the position is open, you’ll see it under “Data Verification Clerk.” Training onsite is required before you can do the job from home.
• Clickworker – Read Review – Very similar to Mturk (above). Has data entry sort tasks available on occasion.
• Dion Data – Read Review – US only. Pay is per piece.
• Great American Opportunities – Read Review – US only. Pay is per form completed, between .10 and .15 per form. Get paid weekly via direct deposit.
• Konsus – Read Review – A newer company with lots of freelance positions, including data entry.
• Red Vision – Keep tabs on their jobs page for a position called “order entry clerk.” It comes and goes, and it's work at home data entry.
• The Smart Crowd – Read Review – Open worldwide. Pay is per piece. Payments are made via Dwolla.
• Smart Locating – Sometimes advertising data entry jobs at home on Craigslist. The listings typically say you need to be able to meet in-person first. This company operates from Texas, so you will likely need to be near one of their locations there so you can have a face-to-face interview.
•  Xerox – Read Review – It's not uncommon to find data entry work from home jobs posted on Xerox. Type in “work from home data entry” on their careers page to see these listings. As with so many other data entry jobs, it may be location-based work.
• I also recommend FlexJobs for finding more. You can regularly search legitimate work at home jobs for data entry and other industries. FlexJobs guarantees all their job leads to be scam-free, and it's the only membership-based jobs site I currently use and trust. Their listings are updated 5-6 times per week, and there is no shortage of listings. You can currently get 30% off a subscription using promo code 

Online Jobs that pay $20 per hour!

Do you want to work at home making a great deal more than minimum wage? If so, this post should get your wheels turning. I have created a list of several companies that pay their workers $20 an hour or more to work at home.

It goes without saying, but when you're talking about this kind of pay, you are almost always talking about companies that are more likely to require a very specific skill set or a college degree. It's very rare to find a work at home job that pays in this range where you need no prior skills or experience to start.

And if you don't have the right skills or experience to do the jobs listed below, keep in mind that at least now you know where the money is! So if you're thinking of furthering your education in order to get higher-paying work, you know what industries to possibly focus on.

So with that said, let's get on to the opportunities! As always, I cannot guarantee these companies are hiring right now, but if they are on the list, they have hired home-based workers in the past and paid $20 an hour or more.

#1 – 10UP

This is a web development company that allows all employees to work remotely. They have occasional openings for web and design engineers, designers, developers, etc. According to Glassdoor, the average salary at this company is anywhere from $53K to $85K, which should work out to over $20 an hour.

#2 – American Journal Experts

This company has regular remote openings for editors and also translators. Not all the jobs pay $20 an hour, but as you can see from Glassdoor, many people are reporting making that amount.

#3 – Amphion Medical

Their work at home medical coders may earn around $25 hourly, according to Glassdoor. One year prior experience and certification is required.

#4 – A Pass Educational Group

Work remotely for A Pass Educational group as an educational subject matter expert. These positions appear to pay between $20 and $30 an hour.

#5 – Art & Logic

This company, which specializes in web and app development, is often looking for developers with great coding skills to add to their team. Everyone works at home. Pay is over $20 an hour, with some positions paying $30+ an hour.

#6 – Book in a Box

This company often has remote positions listed that usually pay over $20 an hour, some are listed at $50 an hour. The positions come and go, so you'll have to keep tabs on the site to see when they are open. They are often looking for editors, proofreaders, book jacket designers, etc.

#7 – Buffer

Buffer provides web-based social media management solutions. They allow all their workers to work remotely, and they provide transparent salary information. From this, you can see that the vast majority of their workers are likely making over $20 an hour. They hire for many different positions on occasion, from techy developer and engineering jobs to product/customer support.

#8 – Carenet

This company hires work at home registered nurses for telephone triage. Pay is around $25 an hour.

#9 – Chegg

Chegg pays their online tutors a starting rate of $20 an hour. It's a flexible, work anytime job that pays weekly. It appears that most of their tutors do the work part-time because it says on the site that the average amount earned by their tutors is $1,000 monthly.

#10 – CircleLink Health

Keep tabs on this company's careers page for the “Clinical Care Coach” position. It's work at home, and pays $20 an hour. RN or higher license is required.

#11 – Envision Pharma

This company has regular openings for medical writers in different locations nationwide, paying between $60K and $100K per Glassdoor. Unfortunately, the job is partially location-based, but they do allow for you to work at home some throughout the week.

#12 – Github

Github is a software company that allows many of its employees to work remotely. They have regular openings for techy positions like developers, engineers, etc. as well as some customer support positions. Per Glassdoor, most Github positions provide a salary of over $60K per year.

#13 – InDemand Interpreting

They have openings for remote video medical interpreters on occasion. This is flexible work paying $1 per minute. Although I could not find any salary averages for this company on Glassdoor, it seems that $20 an hour may be possible.

#14 – Language Services Associates

This is an interpretation/translation company that, per Glassdoor, does appear to pay their translators and interpreters in the neighborhood of $20 an hour, although some other listed positions don't pay that much.

#15 – Magoosh

They regularly hire remote test prep experts who help out students with questions regarding the GRE, GMAT, SAT, ACT, and TOEFL tests. It's a contract position paying $20 hourly on weekdays and $25 hourly on weekends. Must have a BA or BS, a high score on the SAT, GRE, or GMAT, and teaching or tutoring experience.

#16 – Manhattan Prep

You may be able to work as an instructor for Manhattan Prep and earn $100 an hour. The company is highly selective and not all jobs are remote.

#17 – Precyse

If you have medical coding experience, you may be able to work at home for Precyse, earning in the neighborhood of $25 to $30 hourly.

#18 – Revolution Prep

This is an education company that provides online tutoring/teaching services to students in grades 6-12. They pay their work at home professional tutors $20 an hour. Prior teaching experience is required and a bachelor's degree is preferred.

#19 – ShowMojo

This company provides a service for landlords and property mangers to help streamline the scheduling and showing process for rentals. They currently have three remote positions listed (although what's listed will vary) for call center manager, automation expert, and sales manager, and all of these positions pay $20 an hour or more.

#20 – SitePen

SitePen allows their workers to work remotely. They have occasional openings for software engineering, project management, javascript engineering, and web development. Per Glassdoor, these positions pay over $80K per year.
